Fortune Favors the Bold

Today I had a short exchange with a successful business person who I have so much respect for. He is also a trusted human in my small circle – when he speaks I pay attention. I gave him a little sneak peak into this announcement, and he gave me a very short but powerful reply… “Fortune favors the bold.”

Four words that have had me thinking all day. Yes I am fortunate, and yes, I am bold… but so is everyone else on this Team, including our newest member to join our band of amazingness (sorry, too much indie music influence lately).

As I hinted about on LinkedIn last Friday - we are announcing the addition of a new IWS Team member! Thomas Eng joins us as Ironwood’s Chief Strategy Officer today and we could not be more excited. Thomas lives and will be working remotely from western Colorado and that also means IWS has expanded and licensed in the State of Colorado. With wonderful clients and talented CPA connections there, it was the perfect next step for us.

Thomas brings exceptional talents, substantive experience in public and private sector work, and an awakened excitement for all of us, what we are doing, and where we are going! Thomas will be wearing dual hats at IWS, supporting clients and building new customer and partner relationships while managing sales enablement.

He specializes in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow/cash management, analyzing historicals and variance. He will be providing support to the Finance Team under Daemon’s continued leadership and will be leading the way on the expansion of our Fractional Services offerings while ensuring a level of excellence as my recent slow down to manage health issues continues. Please stay tuned for several other exciting things coming your way as we navigate and get bold with new opportunities!

Thomas holds an MBA in Management and Finance from Strayer University, and completed a Certificate Program in Business Analysis from UC Berkeley. He also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the US Intelligence Community in recognition of Outstanding Contributions while working on a project from 2002-2006 for SAIC.

As a Team, we are all individually bold in our own ways, making us some of the most fortunate people on earth. Join us in welcoming Thomas to the Team and remember to stay BOLD!
